Reston Town Center

The Reston Town Center is one of Fairfax County’s top outdoor venues and is one of my favorite places to visit whether it be for quick takeout from Chipotle or Potbelly’s or for some fun shopping without getting into a big shopping mall, for people and dog watching, for evening walks when I want to be in an urban environment, and for having Margaritas and fajitas at Uncle Julio’s. I like the liveliness of the place in all seasons, whether the central pavilion be hosting summer concerts, Oktoberfest, or even when it gets metamorphosed into an iceskating rink during the frigid months.

The Reston Town Center is Reston’s hub and offers great recreation and entertainment. One can visit the numerous events they host such as the Taste of Reston, summer concerts, Oktoberfest, dog shows, and so on. The list of restaurants is great too: Big Bowl, Uncle Julio’s, Busara Thai, Panera, Chipotle, Potbelly, Vapiano, McCormick and Schmick, Jackson’s come to mind immediately, though this list is not complete! The fountain is the heart of the Reston Town Center with great ambience for chatting or people watching.

The Reston Town Center is one of the first modern fun urban spaces created in Northern Virginia. Subsequently, there are Fairfax Town Center, and now Loudoun County has plenty of such recreational spaces such as the latest One Loudoun. The Bow Tie Cinemas bring the latest movies to Reston and some of the top retailers including Apple, Pottery Barn, Gap, Chico’s, Brighton, Ann Taylor, and several others line the avenues of Reston Town Center. It’s a great place for window shopping, and often I walk around the place without ever entering a store!

The Reston Town Center has some awesome condos. Personally I love the condos on Market Street and am contemplating buying one for my retirement! Here is a list of some Reston condos from $400,000 to $1,000,000.

Reston also offers other excellent locales and amenities. Some of my other favorite places are the Reston Zoo, the Saturday Farmers’ Market, the lakes and walking trails, and the Reston library. Now I am off to the Reston Town Center to get the family some dinner!
